"Train a child in the way he should go..."

Welcome to Pier 22:6 Discover - Explore - Journey
Proverbs 22:6 says “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

A pier is built on pillars and so is Walnut Hill's Children’s Ministry. PIER 22:6 exists to share Christ with the children of our community, to teach them God’s Word, and disciple them so they can honor Christ with each step they take. We want to partner with parents to train a child in the way he should go, so faith will guide each of them on their journey through life.

With Christ as the foundation for the pillars that support our Children’s Ministry, it will survive the crashing waves and provide safe haven for families.

Our 4 pillars are:

Partnership (community)
God’s Love (for all children)
God’s Word (spiritual growth)
Service (outreach / to each other)

Pier 22:6 gives children the opportunity to worship together, see God’s word taught creatively and have small group time to build relationships.

We use puppets, skits, videos, music, games, and more to help children discover God loves them, explore God’s Word, and apply it on their journey with Him.

AN IMPORTANT WORD ON SAFETY

Sign-in and Sign-out Procedures

When your child is on campus, their security is a priority!  We ask that parents check in their children at every service. Computer check-in stations are provided in the Children's Lobby, and friendly greeters (adult volunteers) are on hand to assist you. If you are a first-time visitor, you will be asked to register your children on our computer system. This information will help us better serve and teach your child. Your child will then be assigned to a small group.

After the service, please return to the classroom to pick up your child. We want every child to go home with the right parents!
