REV. DR. BRIAN MOWREY
LEAD PASTOR, TEACHING

Brian is passionate about preaching, teaching, revealing the power of God’s Word and Spirit, and helping people connect Scripture to their daily lives.

Brian’s education includes an undergraduate degree in Biblical and Theological Studies, a Master’s in Transformational Leadership and a Doctor of Ministry degree focused on Unity in Diversity. Prior to Walnut Hill, Brian was the director of student ministries at Prince of Peace Church in MN, and he preached and served on the pastoral staff at Berean Baptist Church in MN with a special emphasis on preaching and working with the young adult ministry.

In 2020, Brian released his first book entitled, “On the Other Side of Yes,” which challenges Christ-followers to truly devote themselves to Jesus and step out in faith in all seasons of life.

Brian is married to Becca and is the father of four girls. He is a tried and true Boston Red Socks fan and enjoys playing ice hockey, drinking Diet Coke and working on his family farm. Brian can also be found playing drums and guitar, and singing along with the Worship Team.

At Walnut Hill, Brian is responsible for teaching and preaching of God’s Word and gathering God’s people in worship and group life.
