LEAD PASTOR, EXECUTIVE
With more than 25 years of leadership experience, Adam is a catalytic pioneer known for turning vision into reality through strong team building, clear communication and culturally relevant strategies. He believes that effective leadership is rooted in integrity, guided by vision and shaped in community through genuine partnership.
Adam holds a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership from Bethel Seminary and a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis on piano performance and music technology. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Since joining Walnut Hill’s staff 21 years ago, Adam has played a key role in launching several ministry initiatives, including the 24/7 Prayer Ministry; Community Groups; the Seymour, Derby and New Milford Campuses; as well as the church’s regional resource ministry, which seeks to strengthen and support churches and ministries across New England. Before entering full-time ministry, Adam co-owned a music production company in Nashville, TN, working with clients such as Focus on the Family, EMI, Integrity Music, Sparrow Records, Women of Faith and DreamWorks.
Adam is married to Carrie, and together they have three children. A passionate musician, he regularly serves on Walnut Hill’s worship teams. He also enjoys exploring New England’s spiritual heritage, writing about historical sites, visiting lighthouses and relaxing on just about any beach.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Vision and overall direction (shared with Shawn)
• Member of the Elder Board
• Development and activation of Walnut Hill’s ministry strategy
• Oversight of key ministry areas and operations: weekend services, Next Generations ministry, finance, HR, facilities, communications and IT
• Staff leadership and development (shared with Shawn)
• Cultivation of external church partnerships and relationships
