Jesus, Sex & Gender Class

The Purpose Of The Conversation About Jesus Sex & Gender

Now more than ever, we need a robust, honest, and theologically rich conversation about sex, sexuality, and gender. This is exactly what Christian Sexuality provides.

The Church has always struggled to address questions related to gender and sexuality with truth and grace. But that challenge has exponentially increased today. We live in a world different from anything we’ve seen before, and this difference compounds the challenge of helping one another embrace the beauty of God’s intention for sexual expression.

Today, we are bombarded with messages about who we are (gender) and who we desire (sexuality). We are regularly being bathed in a pool of competing (and sometimes destructive) ideas.

How will the Church disciple through these challenges?

It’s not enough to just quote Bible verses or to give a one-off message on sexuality and gender. We need to learn and be reminded of how beautiful the Creator’s vision for human flourishing really is, so that we will not only believe it—but desire it!

Everyone needs to hear the truth of what God says about sex, and also the truth of what God says about grace. We wholeheartedly believe that both the truth and the grace of the gospel are essential in how Christians approach sex and sexuality - even the gender identity and LGBTQ conversation.
